1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the Food Fit mobile application, web app, and website (together, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 13 years old to use Food Fit.

2. Description of Service

Food Fit is a recipe and cooking app, available on mobile and on the web. It lets you save and organize recipes in cookbooks, import recipes from photos and websites, share recipes and cookbooks with other people, plan meals and build a shopping list from them, see estimated nutrition, and cook with a hands-free voice assistant. Some features use artificial intelligence. Content and suggestions are provided for general informational purposes only.

3. User Accounts

You need an account to use certain features. You can sign up with an email and password, or with Apple or Google. You must provide accurate information and are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Your Content

"Your Content" means the recipes, cookbooks, notes, photos, meal plans, shopping lists, and other material you add to the Service. You keep all rights you have in Your Content. You grant us a limited, worldwide license to host, store, sync, process, and display Your Content, including by sending it to our service providers, solely to operate and improve the Service for you.

For analytics, we may record sessions of how you use the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can turn this off with "Share usage & crash data" in your Profile.

When you import a recipe from a website or scan one from a photo or cookbook, you are responsible for having the right to do so. Imported and scanned recipes are for your own personal use and for sharing with the people you choose, such as family and friends. Do not use the Service to copy, share, or publish third-party content in a way that infringes someone else's rights or the terms of the source website. Recipe text and photos you import remain the property of their original owners.

Sharing

You can share recipes and cookbooks by email invitation or by share link, as a viewer or an editor. You are responsible for what you share and with whom. Anyone who has a share link can open it, so share links only with people you trust, and turn a link off when you no longer want it used. Sharing a cookbook shares every recipe in it.

  • When you share, you let the people you share with view the shared content, and let editors change it, for as long as they have access.
  • If you allow copying, recipients can save their own independent copy. A saved copy belongs to the person who saved it and is not removed if you later stop sharing or delete the original.
  • If you add your own recipe to someone else's cookbook, everyone with access to that cookbook can see it. It stays yours, and it leaves the cookbook if you lose access.
  • The owner of shared content can change roles, remove access, or delete it at any time. We are not responsible for changes other people make to content shared with them, or for content others share with you.
  • Only invite people who would expect to hear from you. Do not use sharing to send unsolicited messages.

5. AI Features

Photo scanning, importing recipes from hard-to-read websites, matching ingredients for nutrition estimates, and hands-free voice cooking use third-party AI models. AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading. It may misread a photo, omit or mangle an ingredient, quantity, time, or temperature, or give an incorrect answer. You are responsible for reviewing scanned recipes and for checking any AI guidance before relying on it.

We may limit how much you can use AI features, for example by session length or number of scans, and may change those limits over time. Your speech, images, and imported content are processed by our AI providers as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Health, Allergy, and Food Safety Disclaimer

Food Fit is not a substitute for professional medical, dietary, or nutritional advice. Recipes and AI-generated guidance may not account for allergies, intolerances, or medical conditions, and may not list every ingredient or allergen. Always check ingredients and labels yourself, follow safe food handling and cooking practices, and cook meat and other foods to safe temperatures. Consult a qualified professional before making significant changes to your diet.

Nutrition information is an estimate, calculated by matching recipe ingredients to reference data such as USDA FoodData Central. It can be wrong or incomplete, for example when an ingredient is matched to the wrong food, a quantity is unclear, or a brand differs. Do not rely on it for medical purposes, such as managing diabetes, allergies, or a prescribed diet.

7. Hands-Free Cooking Safety

Hands-free mode is meant to keep your hands free, not to replace your attention. Stay focused on hot surfaces, knives, and open flames. Do not rely on the app for timers or alerts where a missed alert could cause harm or damage. You use voice features at your own risk.

8. Food Fit Pro Subscriptions

Some features require a paid Food Fit Pro subscription. Subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or our web checkout, and are managed with RevenueCat. The price, billing period, and any free trial are shown before you subscribe.

  • Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase: to your Apple or Google account for in-app purchases, or to the payment method you enter for web purchases.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You can manage or cancel an in-app subscription in your Apple or Google account settings, and a web subscription through the manage subscription option in Food Fit. Deleting the app or your Food Fit account does not cancel it.
  • Refunds for purchases made through the Apple App Store are handled only by Apple under its policies; we cannot issue them. Request one from Apple.
  • Refunds for purchases made through Google Play are handled under Google's policies. Request one from Google Play, or contact us and we can review your request.
  • For refunds of purchases made through our web checkout, contact us. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable and canceling stops future renewals only.
  • A subscription bought in one place (Apple, Google, or the web) must be managed and canceled there.
  • Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
  • We may change prices or features with reasonable notice. Price changes apply at your next renewal, and you may cancel before then.

9. Acceptable Use

  • Do not use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Do not attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service, its servers, or other users' accounts.
  • Do not scrape, reverse engineer, or extract content or data from the Service in bulk, or use it to build a competing product.
  • Do not abuse AI features, including by trying to bypass usage limits, extract system prompts, or submit harmful or unlawful content.
  • Do not copy, resell, or redistribute content from the Service without permission.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third parties, including Apple, Google, Clerk, RevenueCat, Resend, PostHog, AI providers, and our hosting providers. Web purchases are also subject to the terms shown at checkout. Your use of Apple and Google services, including in-app purchases, is also subject to their terms. Apple and Google are not responsible for the Service or for providing support for it. We are not responsible for third-party websites you import recipes from.

11. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, and logos, is owned by Food Fit or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for your own non-commercial use. This license does not include Your Content, which remains yours.

12. Availability, Sync, and Data Loss

We work to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or that syncing will always succeed. Features may change or be withdrawn. Keep your own copy of any recipe that is important to you, as we are not responsible for loss of Your Content.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service. You may stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will do so.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service, including any recipe or AI-generated content, will be accurate, uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for your specific needs.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Food Fit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service, including from reliance on recipes or AI-generated content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and change the "Last updated" date, and will give additional notice of material changes. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
